2. Scope
This privacy notice explains the processing of personal data when you visit this website or contact us. In particular, the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP) applies.
3. Visiting the website
When you access the website, technically necessary connection data may be processed, such as your IP address, date and time, requested page, browser, operating system and amount of data transferred. This data is needed to deliver the website, operate it reliably and securely, and investigate technical faults.
This website is hosted by Infomaniak Network SA in Switzerland. As the hosting provider, Infomaniak processes data needed to provide and secure the hosting service. Information about its handling of this data is available in the Infomaniak privacy information. According to Infomaniak, access and error logs are retained for at least seven days; this does not mean they will be deleted after exactly seven days.
4. Contact and quote requests
If you contact us by email or phone, we process the information you provide to respond to your enquiry, prepare a quote and manage a potential collaboration.
When you submit the enquiry form or the guided start, your entries are transmitted to this website’s web server and forwarded from there directly as an email to the mailbox hallo@kenit.ch. Only the details you entered yourself are transmitted. As a rule, nothing is stored on the web server.
If delivery fails for technical reasons, the enquiry is held outside the publicly accessible directory so that it is not lost, and deleted once it has been dealt with. To protect against automated bulk submissions, the number of enquiries per sender is counted; the IP address is used for this only as a checksum and is not stored in plain text. If your browser cannot reach the server, the form instead opens your own email program with a draft for you to send yourself.
Our hallo@kenit.ch mailbox is operated by Infomaniak Network SA in Switzerland. Infomaniak processes email data on our behalf to store, deliver and secure communications. According to the Infomaniak privacy information, data hosted by Infomaniak is stored in its own data centres in Switzerland. Your own email provider’s privacy policy applies to its services.
Emails to hallo@kenit.ch, including enquiries sent through the form, are also forwarded to a Gmail mailbox of kenit. We also reply to emails through Gmail. Gmail is a Google service; for users in Switzerland and the EEA it is provided by Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. Google processes the content of the emails, the sender and recipient addresses and technical connection data. This data may also be stored on servers of Google LLC in the USA. Google LLC is certified under the Swiss-U.S. Data Privacy Framework and the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework. Switzerland and the EU recognise an adequate level of data protection for certified companies. More in the Google Privacy Policy.
To prepare drafts and replies, we also use AI tools, currently Claude by Anthropic. Details from your enquiry, such as your business and your project, may be transferred to servers in the USA. We only enter what the work requires. If you do not want this, say so in your enquiry and we will handle it without AI tools.
If you message us on WhatsApp, WhatsApp Ireland Limited (Meta) processes your message, your phone number and technical connection data. Data may also be transferred to the USA; Meta Platforms is certified under the Swiss-U.S. and EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework. The WhatsApp button on this website is a normal link: WhatsApp only opens when you tap it. WhatsApp’s own privacy policy applies. If you prefer not to use WhatsApp, you can reach us by email or phone.
5. Cookies, analytics and external content
This website currently uses no analytics, advertising or marketing cookies. It does not embed analytics tools, social media plugins, maps, videos or external fonts. Fonts and images are served with the website. External websites are provided as ordinary links; you connect to the relevant provider only when opening a link. If this changes, this notice will be updated and any required consent obtained.
6. Retention and disclosure
Personal data is retained only as long as necessary for the stated purposes, managing a business relationship or meeting statutory documentation and retention obligations. Data is disclosed only where necessary to provide the services, required by law or with your consent.
7. Your rights
Under applicable data protection law, you may in particular request access to your personal data and ask for it to be corrected or deleted. Depending on the situation, additional rights may apply, such as receiving or transferring certain data or objecting to processing.
Please send privacy-related requests to hallo@kenit.ch. Appropriate proof of identity may be required to prevent unauthorised disclosure. For data protection concerns, you may also contact the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC).
If the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) applies to you, for example for an enquiry from the EU, you also have the rights under Articles 15 to 21 GDPR. You can then also lodge a complaint with the data protection authority in your country.
8. Data security and changes
kenit. takes appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect personal data. However, transmission or storage completely free of risk cannot be guaranteed. This privacy notice will be updated if the website, services used or legal requirements change.
